    Unhappy Tj down hard

    From VRCC:

    TJ has done it again

He was on his way to meet some of us on sat am & lost control on the HWY 27/I-4 ramp. I don't know details & it was to dark to see anything on my way home tonight from picking up Max.
he was air lifted to Tampa Gen. talked to his brother & he has broken ribs, broken collar bone, cracked neck & his spleen is messed up. I don't remember if lungs were involved.
A freind called the recker service & his bike is on hold. they weren't sure if he was going to make it so they're holding it till the cops say OK. I will be calling them tomorrow to find out how to get it out of there so the days don''t keep racking up. stay tuned cause I might need help with someone with a trailer.
please do not call him cause he can't talk, to many drugs & I'm sure to swollen.
if you have him in a e mail group listing please take him out of it till he's up & moving. he had over a 1000 last time & it messed up his PC.
I'll keep ya posted with what I know & let you know when he can talk or have visits.
you can check the FL board for updates, but I have to get some sleep so I can go to work tomorrow.

his brother said he's doing much better today, only has the oxgen in his nose, no mask. he was suppose to start phyiscal therapy today, but not sure if he did. he's remembering more now. said he passed a car on the ramp [it is 2 lanes] & it came into his lane.
as for the bike the troopers haven't called back to release it. the wrecker serice said they can keep it on hold 3 to 5 working days. so it has to end by friday.
TJ can have visits now, but he does sleep alot & there's no phone to call ahead. his brother thinks he'll be happy to see someone else beside him anyway. room 5122 at Tampa Gen
his brother agree's he needs training wheel & a gov to slow him down.
    that's it for the night.

    Update from Vrcc Florida board.

I went and saw him for a couple of hrs this afternoon, he is in a lot of pain, but giving the doc and the nurses hell. I also got that a car came over on him, but that is the last thing he remembers. He needs to start eating, or they are going to feed him through a tube, and he is violently opposed to that. He will be there for a while, doc said probably another week in the ICU at least and that depends on his progress. The doctor told me he really needs surgery to correct some of his ribs, as they are broken in multiple places, but now he is not in good enough shape for the operation.

Paul and I went to see TJ today and he looks soooo much better than the last time. He's out of ICU and into a room and giving the nurses a hard time. They had him sitting up in a chair and although you could see he still had a lot of pain, he was much stronger. He talked about the accident and says he was remembering more. But, he's also talking about a rebuild on the bike. We told him about someone making the comment about his "nine lives." He thought it was more like 19. He's still looking for popsicles and we checked with the nurses station. Anyone looking to bring something can bring a small box and they have a freezer on the floor to hold them. He's only allowed one a day. We left after about an hour and will plan on visiting again either the end of this week or beginning of next.
