Default Well, I guess there is a first time for everything!

Enen though it's only about 30 degrees here this morning, I decided to suit up and take the Harley out for a blast on the expressway...long underwear, thermal socks, gerbing jacket and gloves, ski mask...all set! So I am blasting down the highway at about 85mph (yes, the Harley will do 85) when all of a sudden i feel this rush of cold air around my head...my helmet has just blown completely off and I can see it in my rear view mirror flying down the highway, luckily missing a couple of cars
Apparently, I had forgotten to do the strap up with all the other stuff I had to hook up, and it felt snug on my head because of the ski mask, but with the right gust of wind off she went...and I was still 30 miles from home and couldn't stop or pull over so I just kept going...actually made to just half a mile from the house before I saw the flashing lights and fortunately he believed me when I told him I would not deliberately be out without a helmet, especially in this freezing weather. Anyway, first time I have had a helmet blow off at highway speed, or any speed for that matter...expensive lesson, but could have been worse

You can only go halfway into the darkest forest, then you are coming out the other side. (unless you have been walking in circles).

Sheet, I just hope that I get enough muscle built up to be able to ride MGM next season........... I never rolled a mile on him this season, one of my riding buddies and my son added all the miles to him this year........ This will show up tonight.
