I'm ok so far.....real sore. The xrays didn't show anything, but I'm pretty sure I have a broken collar bone and maybe the first rib below it. I can feel them moving. My right leg has a bad bruise and a wrenched knee, but I can put weight on it. My right foot got jammed and it's swollen too. All of me is sore today and I suppose tomorrow will be worse.

Special thanks to Craig and Bryan for picking me & my bike up and also to Terry and Iris for bringing us home today.

Sorry I missed y'all, but as Lamont noted, I made the right decision to stay home this year.

Glad to hear nothing is broke Vicki. Sorry I missed you but I really didn't want to drive home in the dark again and I didn't know you were comming back to the hotel. Take some time off and heal up girl.

I took a little video up on the hill and a shot of your brake. You must have hit that pretty hard.

    Vicki

I was so happy to see you this past weekend, then bummed to hear you went down.

I am glad it wasn’t more serious damage to you and the new bike (cool bike by the way ).

How are you feeling now? Are you going to see a Doctor you trust?

Heal fast and I hope to see you again soon.

Wow thanks for the video Lamont! I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning, but I didn't take any ibuprofen like I was supposed to do last night. Once it kicked in this morning, I'm feeling better. That brake pedal must have scraped along the van. My toes took some major damage.

My Daughter gave me the name of an ortho Dr. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I hate Drs.

Glad you are feeling a little better. Take your time healing. Now how is my friend Maurry. It had to be a shock for him to see you crash. He certainly had to be tired the next day. He certainly seems to be a great guy. Roy

    Vicki,

Glad Terry and Iris got you home... you got to be sore thank God you had your Motorcross boots on or else your leg could have been ground beef.

Get well, Hopefully it is just some cartilage
that is popped out of place.

    Call if you need anything.

Damn Vicki, you didn't have to crash just for our sake.....

Please find another way to get our attention.

So heal properly & fast as possible

Now seriously, do what the firkin Dr says, trust me, I'm paying for it right now from my December surgery. I played lazy butt, and it has caught up with me.

Now, to get better, I have to spend 4 hours a day at the gym, in 2 - 2hr shifts. This place is open 24/7, so I hit it at 5:00 AM & again at 5:00 PM.....

For those of you that didn't hear the whole story..... Maurey and I were riding up 215 Parkway in NC. Previously to coming up on the Van, we had 2 vehicles turn on their left turn signal, and then wave us around them on the left. When the van turned on it's signal and slowed down so much I stupidly assumed she was doing the same thing the others did. Instead she was actually turning into a grass/gravel area that had no markings as a pull off. As soon as she started coming into my lane I of course veered away from her as best I could. Maurey said when my bike hit the van the rear went up in the air and pitched me over the handlebars to the left. I'm sure if we had been moving faster I would have been hurt much worse. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

On a good note, Maurey has taken the bike apart and says it is reapairable.

I am feeling much better. Most all of the swelling is out of my foot and leg. I've been taking it easy, and just started doing a few things around the house and got out to pick some blueberries and green beans the past couple of days. No I haven't gone to the Dr. I can't substantiate going when I'm not really hurting bad anywhere. Down to 2 ibuprofen twice a day now.
