Default I took a trip to Ohio.....

    And came back with this:

We took off the windshield, faring and rear plastic for the trip home.

It was strapped tight against the pink padding and made the trip home fine!

The first thing we did was install the lowering kit.

I haven't decided if I'm going to cut down the stock seat or buy the Low Gel seat that is made by Kawasaki, so this was my make shift seat for the test ride! I know it looks terrible, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.... I only took it for a short spin last night, but plan on riding 30 today!

For those of you that don't recognize what it is...it's a Kawasaki Versys. It's only a 650 but it will handle the roads around here better than my ZRX and they make hard bags and a touring windshield for it. The riding position is more upright than my Rex too. I don't know what the mileage will be yet, but I expect 50+ mpg.

Sounds like a nice one. It should handle the rough roads allot better.

Well, I've only put a couple hundred miles on it so far. It has more power than I expected out of a 650. I like the more upright seating position which is the main reason I bought it. It handles the curves really well......no instability of the suspension what so ever.......and those are Maurey's words about it too! I need more miles to get used to it...it's so light and easy to handle that it's a little scary.

I am sure you will have a blast on it and I love the color.

I would love to give my Connie a makeover and have it come out sporting that metalic kawa green.
