    This came from RJ's Daughter....

He asked me to give you an update when he got out of surgery.
He got out of surgery around 11:15. Right now he is in recovery and they said he'll be there about an hour. The surgery went well and the doctor is pleased. He said the knee was a perfect fit and that he didn't have to cut any muscles which will help his recovery.

RJ, hope your therapy is going well. I got a new knee in mid March 2 years ago. Mid May we rode from Minneapolis to Eureka Springs and it was actually more comfortable for me to ride the big cruiser than it was to drive my truck, and forget our Grand Am.

Do your therapy and if you're like me or several I've talked to, you'll experience early improvement over the first few months, then tend to plateau. It took a good year before I could more or less forget about the titanium hunk of metal in there. I had the complete replacement and the only thing I dislike today is that they slice the knee down the middle and the left side of my knee ( left knee replacement ) is more or less dead. The nerves never recovered. Not a big deal but just something others have commented on also.

Good luck and tho a bionic knee is not as good as nature's natural, it's a lot better than an arthritic mess that had been scoped several times over the years.

Seriously, glad it went well today bro!
