I found this on the Spyder board posted from Lamont wanted to share his post:
I had planned on running out with James next week but my Dad's bone cancer has took a turn for the worst.
I know a lot of you have lost loved one's and I thought that I knew how it must feel but I've got to say that I've never felt so helpless seeing there is nothing I can do to fix this. I knew when I went to see him and my Mom a couple of months ago that it may be the last time I would see him alive but the reality of that has not hit me till now.
Through my youth I gave my folks a lot of grief and there were times I wish I could go back and make right. We do have a great relationship now and I love him dearly but he's been in bad pain for the last 5 years and he's told me he's ready to go. I'm not even sure how to pray for him at this point other than God's will be done.
My Mom is not taking this very well and if it wasn't for my sister being there to help I don't know what she would do. She doesn't drive and counted on my Dad for everything. I think there is a long hard road ahead for all of us.
It looks like I'll be going back to San Diego in the next day or two so please pray for my Mom that she will be able to cope with this and that I would have the wisdom to do the right thing and be a help.
Have a great time in Daytona and thank you all for your friendship.
At the end of the post, Lamont said he got to San Deigo held his Dad in his arms and his Dad passed.
Lamont our prayers are with you and your family.
