Ya all can not believe all the folks down here.... the nice temperatures of Thursday were in the 70's at 10pm at night... but last night rain... cold temps settled in.

Vicki had a hard day... but the folks from Indiana, and Pa showed up pretty late after putting in a 700 mile day.

Were up and at it for Saturday's events. folks gathering to ride down to
Galvaston for a short ride today.

Lots of refineries down here while riding around...

Hotglue's got a nice place but getting surrounded by a lot of subdivisions...
Got his little heaven in a sea of crackerboxes.

Got to go. Hope to see Michael P and Laborman, Speedie today.

Full belly after breakfast, now were just sitting around for the warmer temps. Miss y'all that haven't made it. We'll eat your share.

I guess I'm getting soft, the long day in the rain yesterday wore me out! Doing better now, sitting here watching Mark firing up the bean cooker.

Speedy, I'm so disappointed you aren't going to be here.

    Ms. Vicky

This getting old sucks, don't it!? But then, we both know it could be worse.
After that knee injury I spent a good amount of time feeling sorry for myself and I was particularly saddened that I would never get back on a racetrack but the fact is I was on them, so I guess it's a wash. And while I may never do 200mph I've been 173, so I guess I can't kick about that either. It sure helps not to be in constant pain though. I just sold the Valk and the Kaw is going to Perko this weekend. My next bike is going to be a lot more well thought out than my last 40 or so (I'm thinking big Beemer GS).

Buddha taught his followers to recite the Five Remembrances everyday:
    1) I am of the nature to grow old. There is no way to escape growing old.
    2) I am of the nature to have ill health. There is no way to escape having ill health.
    3) I am of the nature to die. There is no way to escape death.
    4) All that is dear to me and everyone I know are of the nature to change. There is no way to escape being separated from them.
    5) My actions are my only true belongings. I cannot escape the consequences of my actions. My actions are the ground on which I stand.
    Ride with great verve.

I miss you too LeeMont, (and TJ) but Danny had a really good reason for not making it to the BBQ.

I rode the FJR and no tickets yet, but there's still time. I did dump it at a stop sign on the way down here. Sure wish that guy would have built the air shock kit for me.
