You know what's funny? That morning in Portland just before we walked over to Denny's for breakfast we stopped in in at the autoparts place in the parking lot of the Motel 6.

Right in front hanging on a display rack was tire chains/straps. We both looked at one another, grabbed a pair and began the pondering process. I'm not sure what made us "nix" the idea but I'm sure it was a wise decision.

We got more snow last night and everything here is a friggin' sheet of ice. Laura just called from I-95 where she's stuck in a huge traffic snarl on the bridge over the river. She said she's ready to get her skates and sticks out from the back of the truck and start cross-checking people. That's my girl!

More snow in the forecast for tonight and Friday with the possibility for another significant storm. I suppose I'll hunker down to a nice warm fire, a copy of the new double gun journal and 3 fingers of Jamesons. Just as soon as the weather breaks I'm ready for a leisurly Iron Butt just to warm up for spring. Wanna go to Toronto for hockey pucks?

Soon my friend. Unfortunately it seems like it won't be soon enough.
