Thanks........ask him if he knows anymore then everybody else about the R 1200 GS Adventure
Hey Drag, check out the delphi MCTourer forum.
Several guys there have the VStrom and some have the BMW.
It's a good site.
You could make the decision easy, buy one of each.
good luck.

Hey it all depends on what you want to do with it. If you plan on doing long rides and dirt roads then the BMW R1150GS ADV is the best. If medium rides and harder dirt roads are your plans then the KTM LC8 would be my pick.
I love my BMW but it’s a little big for real hard off roads stuff. I plan to keep it till the wheels fall off. Here is a link to the ride I did on it last year.

The new GS will be a 1200 but I would wait a year for BMW to get the bugs worked out. It’s my under standing that ADV will still be an 1150.

That is one cool looking bike.. and it looks like it can handle the mud too..
Speaking of mud.. It cost me $10 at the car wash to clean all the mud off the traxter this evening.. and I was not the one to get it dirty.. Jonathan had the biggest smile on his face today.. and was throwing mud everywhere..
If you get a chance.. you need to check out "Colons" again.. I have found so many more trails there it is unreal.
Later.
