:D
Picked up the Vstrom yesterday. It was between 35-40 degrees even some kids pulled up beside me and yelled you're crazy.
That thing does not want to go slow. I am going to have to get used to the faring not turning. It is small, but it still has that visual effect on me when it does not turn. My wife was following me and told me I had better watch the speed. The foot position is simmilar to the valk for me just a little back rather than straight down. (6'4") Not crotch rocket back behind you.
So far I really like it I just have to have more good weather to ride.
The hand guards or shields that are in front of the grips don't give much protection for wind. You are hanging out there with the wind in your chest. It was not too bad I was going 60 and It will not be hard to get used to. It was a little reminiscent of the old 900 like I was expecting.
I sat up straight enough that I was comfortable. I only put about 40 miles on the bike. Different sound. I do not like a loud bike. The GIVI bags look good. I my excitement I did not notice till I got home that they were on backwards. The red reflector was forward, I will fix that.
I will miss the valk. I think this is what I wanted to try. I don't think it was a mistake.
