Just got an E-mail from the Iron Butt Association...

They accepted the paperwork for my trip and the documentation...
Only took 2 months

So... what ya waiting for?

Went and visited the site.... not a lot of Valkyries, did not see any Boss Hoss, a few trikes..

There are a lot of folks who seem to live to do these long rides...

Would I do it again... Yep... only in warmer weather.

Jack

Congrats. I know one Boss Hoss guy that is a IB and a Butt Burrner. He has done a few 1500 mile trips. I may need to get me one of those. I did it on my IS once but never documented it. :(

Congratulations! I'm not a real longdistance rider so I can really appreciate what it takes.

I've never been on the IBA site but I bet it's full of BMW's and ST1100's and 1300's.

Congratulations Jack!! I wouldn't mind doing that myself, like in June!! I actually did do it once, but had no idea there was such a thing then... when I got out of the Navy in San Diego in 75 I rode home to Kansas City non stop except for gas and food, took me about 30 hours. Left early one morning and about 1800 miles later was home by about noon the next day. Oh, to be young again!! LOL You really should get soem award for braving the weather at your age!! :D

Thanks for the congrats gang...

I think the folks going to Americade with us in June could do the Bun Burner 1500 in 24 hours when we leave Maine... to head back...

It's only about 1550 miles back to Atlanta... via Laconia, NH, The outer Banks N.C. :)
