Sun screen???????

Welp... went back to the dermataligist ( did I spell that right?) for a check up from last March's surgery on my ear for skin cancer.... It looks good!!!!
BUT.... she kinda jumped my case about my sun exposure.....When outside working... which is MOST or the time, I wear a wide brim hat... but it seems I'm still getting too much sun.... even through my shirt. Had a few places burned off and 1 cut off.
Guess I'm just Sensitive...LOL
Really just the rewards of a miss spent youth.....too many years in the sun without protection.....
All ya whipersnappers....

My Dad had things burned or cut off 2 - 3 times a year. When he was a young salesman, he rode around with his arm out the window of his car - spent most of his time in a car (before shading). That and growing up on the farm....

The doctors told him that his body had gotten all the UV rays (radiation) that it could handle. He spent the last 15 years in long sleeves, etc. but still had to have spots cut or burned (frozen) off a couple of times a year.

It is a, not continual, you know what I mean - it never goes away and adds on each day........

Dad's was as well - just had to have spots frozen off 1 - 2 times a year. Some left some really nasty scars!!!!! Some really nasty scars when they got near his nose and around his neck, etc.

I wear sun screen every time I ride (if I think about it).....I need to use it more at home, but on the bike, I TRY and wear it every chance I get.....I keep catching myself on a "well, it's a short ride and it it is cloudy" but folks, wear it if you can!!!!!!!!!!

:attention: Yeah what they say, wear it at all times......:attention:...... I didn't use it the 1st 15 or so years I rode a motor, then I got sunburned real bad and had to wear long sleeves for awhile......... So, today, if I am out and about in the sun, I try to remember to put in on before it is too late............... Red tries to keep a bottle of protection in the bike and the Trike for me.

She knows how forgetful I am............................... LOL :confused:
