Having lived in West U for many years before relocating up here to CT I can agree that snow in the Houston area is cool. I remember one year while attending UH that 1 1/2" of snow shut the university down! Enjoy is for its beauty, especially given the time of year. Hey, at least you don't need snow insurance. :wink:

Yeah.... a 1 1/2 inch snow will shut down the whole area. especially if it freezes on the overpasses. Houston has LOTS of elevated roadways that will freeze fast.... then it gets REAL bad. No infrastructure here to handle snow or ice...

That is what ended up happening. As things began to melt the evening temps dropped and everything froze up solid. I remember having one pretty good ice storm one year too. The trees looked beautiful but the cleanup afterwards was a real PITA. Y'all hunker down and enjoy it while it lasts. :beer2:

Well... as of 0800 hrs, the snow has all melted...... bummer.... looks like winter is over this year...LOL
