I'm thinking about purchasing some waterproof boots.

After hearing the pros and cons of the Cruiserworks boots and checking out work boots this weekend I decided to see what the local motorcycle gear shop had to offer.

The only boot they had in my size was the Dainese BB2 D-dry boots. For $200 they didn't look too bad. They had two other waterproof boots, but honestly they all looked similar and the price range was $200 - $220. I had the BB2's on for about 20 minutes walking about the shop. They didn't feel too bad, and I had a pair of thick socks on as well.

Anyone heard of them or about them. Apparently they are manufacturers for Ducati gear.

I posted this on the Regional VRCC Board and then the VRCC General Board, but got to thinking the audence on this Board might be even greater.

In the past I used my Timberline's and really didn't have a problem, but thought this time I would see what's out there in the motorcycle world.

Comments about the pros & cons would be appreciated.

I have Sidi "on the road" water proof boots and I love mine !!
Had them for 2 or 3 yrs. now and still 100% water proof !!!
BTW.. I walk a lot sometimes after riding to some where.. And they are very comfy ....

I wear a Joe Rocket brand dry boot for some 4 years now. and never had troublewith them...

Its all about comfort and how they fit YOU... each person's fit is different, so hard to say "THIS is the best" for you... gotta try em all out...

Usually Mosa speaks with a forked tongue, but he sure is shootin straight poop on this one. :a13: :a13:

I have tried several boots and etc for riding over the years. I finally settled on Red Wing Construction Boots. I'd say they are 99% waterproof, if ya don't stand in standing water someplace.

However, I best put a disclaimer on this. For the past 2 or 3 years I have not worn boots riding......... I wear oxfords or tennis type shoes. In the saddle bag I carry a pair of big ole knee high rubber boots.......... Those my friend are waterproof, but not worth a crap to walk very far in..... Trust me on that.

So in as few of words as possible, you will have to try various boots and the ones that best do the job for you are going to be the ones you want....
