Mark has surely been busy working on his Valk. He just got all the painted parts back from the painter and pinstriper. The new colors are medium "electric" blue and silver with light blue pinstriping. The painting was done locally and the paint job is fantastic, even on all edges.
The motor is completely enclosed in chrome, ALL aluminum surfaces ncluding the brake and clutch reservoirs are polished or chromed. The forks are polished to the same finish as the sliders. The rear end housing has been deeply polished, the black plastic ring has been replaced with a stainless steel machined ring, and the rear shocks have been replaced with Progressives. Galfer ss braided brake lines have been installed (fit was perfect). He is presently fabricating ss triangles for the areas in front of the tank(vin area) He has installed about a dozen blue LED's to show all this off.
I have been to a number of Homecoming's and don't remember any Valk that was detailed more than this. WOW!
When all this comes together (he's waiting for the paint to cure before reassembly) We will post pictures on the BBR.
He's been working on this for better than two months but the results will be worth it. I'm a proud Dad!

Let's have a cook out :eat2: to show it off. I can't wait until the spring thaw to ride up there and see this beautiful beast. Got stranded on Rt. 9 near 218 on Monday afternoon. Sat there until midnight, when the workers arrived and fixed the frame on the house we were transporting. Sure was cold. :snow1: The back 1/3 of the house was so heavy, it almost fell off the frame. We had to sit in the right hand lane for 8 hours. :(

Hey Bill. We are planning on having the northeast Indiana cookout on Saturday, June 5th. If I can get Mark away from polishing his Valk that day, maybe I can get him to cut up the onions. LOL.

In Indiana? That is my neck of the woods. I live in Huntington but when I work EMS that is my area. Watch that intersection. Pretty deadly. Where were you heading? solo1 tell MAD to get some pics up! Can't wait to see it! Hopefully he will beat another custom bike at Ehlerdings this year again. :D 2 more months till some good weather.

Hey Fudgie. Mark is really sweating the details. Using his experience as an automotive tech, he has done things to his Valk that would cost a pile of money if you had someone else do the work. He must have at least 60 to 80 hours of his time in it so far, including time to wire and install many, many blue LED's. What ambition. It makes me feel lazy
We should see it back together in another week and then post pictures here.

Hey Solo1! The guy who did the paint job is a good buddy of mine! He does fantastic work!!! I've seen the sheet metal through different stages since Mr. Happy (as I like to call him!) got them. Last I saw them he was just gettin' ready to shoot the clear! Another superb paint job! He's definitely gonna need some good sunglasses now!!! 8)
