Yesterday I went to start my truck and it had been sitting for a long time and the batteries were dead :( It was kinda cool to jump start my Diesel with two BIG batteries with my motorcycle :D

The have been calling for bad weather here but so far it's been pretty nice. I hope to take the Boss to lunch today. :D

Hope you folks are getting pumped up for the riding season.

what a last few days. snow, snow, snow.
no riding for me for a long time.
have to wait for the spring thaw.
the last 2 years I was able to ride every month of the year. maybe not far but at least it was riding.
Not bad for Michigan but it won't happen this year.
Thank goodness for the Magna, right Jack?

Good Morning!

I've been working on cleaning out the barn. Got one more stall to do today and I'll have it all caught up. I did ride one of my horses yesterday. It was a beautiful day!

Sure wish I didn't live so far from you Jack, so you could come up and take me for a bike ride! I'm hoping I'll be on the Rex in 2 more weeks after I go to the Doc again.

5 degrees and snow on the ground this morning in CT. I haven't ridden since New Years Day...and glad I had that chanced. The CT crew has been having monthly breakfast meetings...2 wheels or 4...it doesn't matter as long as we can get together during the winter. Hope all those with good weather get a ride in today...and for the rest of us spring is around that cold, snowy corner.

Jack

Well when I get up in the mornings it's really stiff, but after I get to moving around, I'd say it has 60% of the movement that the uninjured one has. It seem to be getting better the more I use it.

SOME HOW or OTHER I talked Joy into going to look at Pool Tables(JUST TO LOOK MIND YOU)...Well Well..To Make a Long STORY short I Scored one while I was there. Had it delivered and set up Tuesday....BUT. Mis-Calulated on the other table locations. NOW I GOT TO COMPLETLEY SWITCH the TV,Stero and all my wiring and the Bar from one end to the other.....Oh well LIVE and LEARN.. Maybe If ALL GOES WELL I will be finished by the weekend...and can RIDE A LITTLE then START to organize the Lady's Room downstairs... After All I have to bring her out to organize... It's been snowin' First we've seen in a couple weeks. Got to ride the Sabre on New Years Eve, Haven't been on her since. Still waiting on a few pieces from Hal. Then the re-assembly begins on the Valk. I think I'm going to head to the motorcycle show in Cleveland at the end of the month to see if there's any new stuff that I haven't seen. Anybody else going? http://www.motorcycleshows.com

Let me know, maybe we can meet up.

The Valk has been sitting under a cover for a long time......fired her up yesterday just to listen....sounded just as good as the first time I heard that engine. We might see mid 30's here next week....could take a short ride, but we have a lot of salt on the road......I don't feel like cleaning for an hour just for a short ride....who knows. Finishing the restoration of my first bike....a 53 cc Kawasaki ...lots of memories. Need to find a turn signal switch....some 6V bulbs.....and some new chrome pieces. Very hard to find these parts.....have looked everywhere. Seems nobody wants to re-chrome exhaust system parts as they contaminate the chroming tank.....especially 2 cycle exhaust system parts. Any ideas out there??

Well, let's see. Started the Valk about a week ago. It's in the shed and the drive is covered with snow and ice, can't get it out. It sounded great , can't wait for Spring.
Mark's Valk's parts are painted and waiting for the pin striping and his approval and then will be clear coated. Meanwhile in the heated garage he has polished or chromed about everything including the forks, diff, left swing arm, etc, etc. He has replaced all brake and clutch lines with SS Galfers. They Fit! When his bike is finished, his will go back in the shed and mine will go in the garage for cleanup, Galfer brake and clutch lines, and some Kuryakyn chrome. I've given up the chrome race with Mark though. Mines Chrome 101, his is Chrome and Polish 495 (wow)!

Hey Vickie, I'm so glad that you're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Sounds like you'll be riding any day now. Way to Go.

The rest of you ride if you can and hold down the PMS if you can. I'm having trouble with doing that myself, tho. For all the birthdays on the BBR that I missed, Happy Birthday.

I looked at my trike 2 days ago, but didn't touch it. Seems too many things always going on. I have about a week's worth of parts to install before it gets riding time, better kick it into gear I guess...

Don, As you know if I am around I am willing to ride. Thought I was going to get out and ride today but got stuck working on RazorRays bike. Dig this.

He was complaining of a high speed wobble.... then he complained about the speed sensor being loose... well I looked at it and jacked the bike up and Lord know he is probably lucky... The axel bolt was loose and the front wheel was moving 1/4 inch back an forth side to side.

then worked on his back brake. Seems to be doing better not wearing the pads down on one side now. So after all day working on his bike I looks mine over and notice that the little support for the valve stem is missing... Canton has one in stock so I guess I break down and spend the 4.00 dollars tomorrow morning.

Well that's how my day went.... such a pity... it was a georgous day.

Got a stack of chrome from Hal Thursday and I have today off. Trunk rack, saddle bag lid racks and finish up the Progressive 440 install. While I have it all apart also going to polish and clean. Ice coming tomorrow night so no riding for awhile.
