I'm still hoping to make it. Just depends on how the wife is feeling whether I can get away for the day or not. She'll be 31.5 weeks that weekend. Jess was born at 32 weeks and Cate was born at 35 weeks. So by then, we'll be getting pretty close. 8)

Been many years since I have been to one of these.....over 4 to be more specific. Long over due. Will be going to Americade for the week with a buddy of mine (annual pilgramage) and would love to drop by on Saturday to see old (really OLD) friends.

Pibit, hope all is well...see you then..

Please upgrade my status from "MAYBE" to "Almost Definitely". :D

By the way, does anyone have a carb synch guage...or know how to adjust valves on a Valk? With 24,000 miles, it's never been done and I am sure it could use it. And I've never done this before. So if I could tap someone's expertise who's done it before, I'd love to take advantage of it. Just let me know what I'd need to bring. On the other hand, if it's a real pain of a job, I'll skip it. I don't want to spoil anyone's picnic.

Aside from lack of the right tool, the carb synch doesn't really scare me. So that would be GREAT if you could bring the synch tool. It's the valve adjustment that I am worried about. Ever done one of those?? :?

I do know that to do the valve adjustment, the engine needs to be stone cold, so unless you're spending the night, this weekend's probably not the time to do it. There'll be plenty of people there that can explain how it's done. Sounds like we'll need to take a road trip to your hous in the near future to help you git-er-done!

Got some spare floor space? Staying the night may not be out of the question. So far, the plan is for the wife to take the kids to her parent's camper Friday after school for the weekend. So I could come up Friday after work. But right now that kind of depends on the weather. She doesn't want to go up there if it's going to rain the whole time. The kids would drive her nuts if they were all cooped up inside that camper for 2 days. I'll keep you posted.

Yep, and Bob, I have done the Valve adjustment MANY times. Got the right feeler guage and everything :D If you get here early enough, the bike should be cool enough by the afternoon to "getrdun" :D We'll just have to make sure one of us is sober enough to do it! but if you wanna stay for the night, of course we have room!

Cool! I'm still up in the air about the overnight. Laura is still deciding whether to go to her parent's camper with the kids or not....it just depends on how she feels and the weather as I mentioned before. But I can definitely plan to be there earlier on Saturday morning at worst case. I usually try to get to Eat-n-Park in State College for breakfast before heading up to your place.

By the way, we just came from Laura's doctor appointment and everything is good. He said a few more weeks will probably be it. She is 31 weeks today and Cate was born at 35 weeks and he said he expects about the same with this one. So we are getting really close!! 8)

I don't like to impose too much. I know you guys have alot of work with all of the other food and stuff for the actual BBQ that you don't need guys like me to show up early, wake you out of bed after a night of partying, mooch your garage and tools all day, have you tune up my bike, then hang out and eat your food and drinks...and have the balls to expect breakfast when I get there too...just because I got there before lunch.

SO...what'cha cookin and when is it ready??

Hey Jon...are you guys riding the bike or cage? Just wondering. If you are riding the bike, I have to get a pic of you and Leann on the bike for my wife...she thinks pregnancy precludes the ability of riding on a bike...although right now she might be right as her belly is getting pretty large.

Bob,
We will be in the truck!
LeAnn can't even put her helmet on, when she fastens it, she turns green.
The strap on her neck makes her sick.
So we haven't been riding much.
Now about that beer and pizza, by this time tomorrow morning I plan on having a beer in my hand. It is now 10:36 am.
With the way work has been going, I plan on forgetting about it this weekend.
Someone give me another beer!!!

I made it home from PA Reunion. What a great time!! The food was awesome. The company was fantastic. And the hospitality first rate...to say the least. Thanks to Yogi and BooBoo for letting me crash and feeding me. Thanks to Rocket for the ride...I think. :D

And thanks again to Yogi for the mechanical help with the bike tune-up. It could be how I was riding or I may have had a tail wind. But when I stopped for gas, I was getting about 36mpg running 65-70 on 220 and 22. Prior to the tune-up I was getting around 32-33, so I would say it was a success. 8)
