The Valk is finally back together and firing on all six cylinders. I was underneath the sink this afternoon installing a new kitchen faucet when suddenly I see a tree trunk (Wall's leg) in front of me. Within seconds he's down on floor next to me helping out with the install. I needed a deep socket 9/16th but only had a 7/16th's. I also had a 5/8th's and Wall said: "get it and watch this." One small piece of aluminum foil and he shimmed the 5/8th's to fit the 9/16th's so we could bust free some stubborn and damn near impossible to reach nuts.
Long story short we got the faucet in and then went out for a scoot. It felt just like old times man. The Valk fired right up and waited for her first ride. We pulled out of the driveway and hit the first hard corner and a huge smile cracked free on my face. Man, you never forget how to ride. My hands felt good, balance isn't a problem and my head felt screwed down tight.
I'm limited in range of motion in my neck so I can't look over either shoulder during low speed u-turns but I still don't have a problem turning. I'm sure a few more times will have my comfort and confidence level back up to snuff.
Scrapped a few pegs, the kickstand...well...just like old times. Just wanted to share with y'all. Hopefully the next time we meet it will be on two wheels.
Hi my name is Chris and I'm just a dork that fell on his head. :D
