View Full Version : Talk about a Great Day to ride!!!!!
It has been absolutely great here!!!! Last night as I was working in the garage it just seemed to keep getting warmer. :) But it had been raining off and on. By this morning it was really great, I had to run some errands but when I got home I pulled the Dodge out and as soon as I did, I swear I heard the Legend calling me. And who am I to ignore such a wonderful invitation. :D So I headed down the road to Coartney's, he was on the porch by the time I got there. 8) I guess he was setting up these new Woofers on his Computer, and was just listening to some bike sounds. He said the sound kept getting better and better and Louder! then he realized I was coming down the road :a13: Any how he changed real quick and we headed to where he works to get his bike. (the weather turned nasty the other day so he opt to drive a company truck home and leave his bike in the company garage) We then headed back to St. Marys ( the long way, of course 8) ) to raz one of our friends, :P five minutes later he was rolling his bike out :D We headed over to Rt. 26, one a back road which was more sinders then asphalt  but once we got to 26 it was pretty nice. Then around to Marietta and back up towards St. Marys. Although it was raining all over the place, we only got a couple of sprinkles on us. It is so much fun to be on two wheels and to share such a great day with good friends. All in All it was a FABULOUS RIDE, and a GREAT DAY :a13: I sure hope the first Saturday of '04 is an indication of what the year is going to be, cause it is gonna be a GREAT YEAR!!!!!! 8)
The 1st and the 2nd was nice here. Today it has spit snow off and on most of the day. They say tonight about midnight we are supposed to get from 6 to 12" of the white stuff by 6:00 AM Sunday.
Glad I went riding those 1st 2 days, even though I did have to change my shorts on the 2nd on a slippery bridge floor, in the fog and a slight drizzle at about 36 degrees......... I got her in a straight line, turned off into the median, crossed over to the other side and headed the other way about 35 MPH slower. Then I had to clean the bike before I put it away......
I'll have some more nice riding days before spring gets here... Trust me, we always have anyway.
Keep that white stuff in Iowa OK :a13: Glad to here you didn't lay her down. You didn't by chance have a hangover from your new years Party did ya :a13: I know what you mean about those types of "altercations" :? I had been "playing" on the Legend today, ya know, goosin' it :D well sometimes those superchargers get a nice huge taste of fuel then they jump after you let off. :o The Legend did that today, right in the sinders, but I caught her and brought her back. 8) The best one was on the four lane, Coartney decided to crack it and I did too, and when I did, for the first time (on the Legend) She shot right up, believe it or not I just touched the pipes on the pavement, HEY new Wheelie Bars!!!! :a13:
Glad you got to ride some before all that weather hit, you are right we will get some more days here and there. Afterall that is why I bought two Valks, one to ride and one to play with!!!! :D
