Yepper, going to ride to post office and mail some invoices. Then off to meet a customer for lunch and a lil ride out to the park and back. Hope all of you have a wonderful and safe New Years eve. Oh yeah, need to stop at the liquor store too! :P
no work for me today.
I'll be back in Michigan and to work Monday.
But until then, I'm getting a little riding in here in Cumming, Ga.
Glad my daughter moved somewhere kinda warm.
Happy New Year all.

Looks like I'm going to ride to the hardware store and pick up a valve for the busted water pipe I woke up to :(
If I climb on the Rex and start it up does that count?
I've already been sitting on it (not running) doing some physical therapy, shifting it in and out of gear.

i plan on riding tomorrow. Supposed to be sunny and high 60s. so i'll ride the first day of the new year. probably take all three bikes out (one at a time.....most likely  )
i might ride some on the long weekend too...if it don't rain. Supposed to be 60s again....but possible rain.
Hey Ray, you gonna' party any tonight 8)
Currently 22 degrees and I ain't feelin too good. I think I got Lamont's flu bug maybe. Will ride tomorrow for sure....... Always ride on January 1 of every new year.....
Or it could be some food poisoning from last nights greasy spoon I ate at.
I was a transferring titles and plates on the Pickup I just traded my son-in-law out of. God I just love these County Court Houses for vehicle registration. Son-in-law wanted my Infiniti I was trading in for a new car.
California you went to the DMV, did all the paper work and they sent everything off to Sacramento. 6 to 8 weeks later ya'll got your paperwork and plates.
Here, you go to your resident county, do the paper work and supposedly walk out the door with title, registration and plates. Fine and dandy, till you reach a clerk who is a first grade B*TCH.
I went with the son-in-law to his county to make sure we had our ducks in a row, so that when I went to my county it would be hassle free. We had everything perfect at his county, except I'd torn the extra 1/2 of the registration off and tossed it, well we needed that piece. No problem, they had extras, I filled it out signed it and off we went. We waited in line longer that we were at the window. We did all the papers on his truck and I took him back to work and I went around the block, came back and had him sign his title over to me.
Went to my county, this wasn't right, I replied well it went through Polk county just fine, well Polk County doesn't know what they are doing. Let's get the picture straight here, Polk County has 16, man count em 16 windows to handle the business, my county only has 2 windows, now who do you think does it correctly based on the amount of volume they handle.
Anyway, we get through this first form, finally. Then she says the next form is not done correctly and I have to return to Des Moines and get it fixed. I said B*ll S*hit lady, go get Julie, (County Treasurer), went to school with here in the late 40's. She rebelled and was telling me the what for's and the why for's as Julie walked by, I hollered at Julie, she came over, read my name on the application and we did a hug through the counter window. Dang did this B*tch have a quick attitude change.
YEP, I walked out 4 minutes later with, registration, title and plates. Boy it sure helps to know someone sometimes. I wonder if she is working for the County after that incident. Sure hope not........

Well three of us, Tony, Terry and I rode over 300 miles today. :superman1: We rode to Cape Geradeau, MO from Herrin, IL, then up the river to Perryville, MO, across the Chester Bridge and said hello to Popeye the sailor man, then homeward. Man was it fun. Saw lots of bikes -- more than expected -- and they all waved. Now that's a good day. :biker: I guess the posers thought it was too cold, because these guys were all riders. How do I know? They waved back and did not care what brand we were on. Went over the 65,000 mile mark today on the Valkyrie. Tomorrow is the first ride of the NEW year. TNT, I thought of you and J Dubya when we passed 17th Street in Murphysboro. :capwin:

Yep. Rode today. Commuting unfortunately. I had to work.
But it was 67 degrees when I left work, and any time on a bike is a good thing.
