Friday (Jan. 2) the Doc is gonna remove two of the 11 screws holding my leg together as a result of a motorcycle wreck last summer. Haven't been on a motorcycle since last June.

In addition to the 11 screws, there is also a stainless steel plate and a titanium rod holding the two lower left leg bones together.

Doc sez the removal Friday will held stimulate additional bone growth. Here's hoping. Doc also said he'd think about removing the rod, plate and the rest of the screws sometime next summer. I tld him that's riding time and perhaps we'll wait 'til next winter. We'll see.

Anyway, thanks for reading. See ya at INZANE 4.

P.S. Someone said they saw a T-shirt that said, "If you don't limp, you ain't s**t." I qualify!! :D

Good luck, I hope all goes well.

I have a plate & 7 screws in my left leg. The Doc hasn't said anything about removing them and I hope he doesn't! I go back for my 10 wk. check up tomorrow. I'm walking with a limp too, but it's getting better!

Again, I wish you luck, and I don't envy you going back under the knife.

I thought I would give it try too!!

No plates for me though... I'm getting a patch. Going to have a hernia repaired on the 12th. I haven't been in any real pain but the fact is a hernia will not heal itself. I sure hope this isn't the beginning of a lasting relationship with the doctor. I've been very successful in my 32 years at avoiding them... till now. :!:

Ethan, been there done that. That was definitely much better than a broken collar bone! You'll heal fast.
