I hope that everyone got through Christmas ok with a lot of good memories, ( and not too many pounds, watch that eggnog Daniel!)
Our family is going to play cards New Years Eve and then we are going to get together on New Years Day over at my house for corned beef and cabbage with potatoes (I call it a New Haven boiled dinner). After that, it's back to work in the new year.
The way it looks now is that I will be going to 5 meetings per month minimum on city and church business. Who said that you have all the time in the world when you retire? LOL.
It just depends on where you put your priorities.
In your case, you put them with the church, so now you have to attend meetings.
In my case, well, we won't go there.......... LOL

Happy New Year Solo1 and RJ, and the rest of the BBR. :pepper1: Me, I'm riding today, tomorrow, every day :P . I am going to listen to a band play New Year's Eve with a riding buddy, :capwin: then get home soon enough to head out for the big ride, then off to St. Charles, MO. to help a buddy.
This morning, I'm fixin' the tail light on the Valkyrie (wires under the rear fender), the riding to Cape Giraudeau, MO. Rode home in the middle of the night Saturday with no tail light. :cus: I discovered it when I pulled into the garage. Lucky I wasn't hit from behind, but they would have had to be flying to do that. Oh, yeah. I have to clean the wheels and the rest of the bike because of all the sodium chloride they put on the roads because of the suspected snow that never appeared.

Hey! Even with the eggnog and the fudge, I lost 4 pounds in December.
Of course (borrowed line)...
With me, losing 4 pounds is like somebody saying they threw a deck chair off the Titanic
:D

Hey RJ. The majority of my meetings are city council and Board of Works. I was dumb enough to run for council for the fourth time and the people were dumb enough to elect me again. I'm trying for a record, as of now I'm the oldest member of the council. Not complaining, I like the job. As for the church, as an elder, I'm just trying to pay back the support of our congregation when my wife died and I make no excuses for it.
