update on Dragons over the Smokies rally in August

there is a web site up that has all the info that is being updtated for this rally in Johnson City, TN, 16-19 August. As the schedule firms up, registration opens, etc, this web site will post that info.

Tim: Are we getting a block of rooms @ a special price for DOTS? The website for the Holiday Inn, Johnson City quotes rooms at $68.00 - $72.00 per night. When I checked availability for the dates of DOTS, the rates were considerably higher. Like $106 for a standard room. That might be a little rich for this 'ol retiree's fixed income. :(

Not sure!. Was hoping that you would show me the way.? Johnson City has so many one way streets that I do good just to make it home from work! 8)

yea, tell me about those one way streets! I sure was glad i had a local guy driving me around Friday and Saturday. we were on a mission...limited time...so i didn't want to learn my way around just yet 8) We'll be back scouting again in May or June.

Yea, Lamont, i was in your neck of the woods....but you were at the Indy show. that snow sure was something! about 4 inches where we were. We got laws against that stuff in Bama! :lol:

on hotel prices, the rooms are 70 bucks for most rooms...but 90 for executive suite rooms. We have the ENTIRE hotel blocked...every last room. and after they update their web site, you'll find the 70 per night is a discounted price.

i firmed up a LOT of details last week. We're going to have some really great activities. we'll be posting more info in the near future...and opening up registration in the future. But go ahead and get your room NOW. Their are some 195 rooms in the hotel (we booked up 10 for our Staff)....ALL those 195 belong to us. When they're gone...they're gone.

don't get caught without a room (ok...maybe you don't need one, Lamont 8) )....like folks are having happen at my Cheaha rally. i ALWAYS say, reserve a room. get it early. you can ALWAYS cancel....but...once they're gone...they're gone. Mention the Valkyrie Club/DOTS rally. If you don't mention that, you won't get a room. if you do, you can get a room, and the charge should be 70 for standard room....90 for the suite.
