Well another Christmas has come and gone. :( Seems like the older I get, the faster the years go by. :( The kids are not really into Christmas anymore and I got to say I could just about do without it myself. I guess the best part is focusing on the birth of Christ and getting together with friends and family. :)
We had the Athon's over with their two boys and they pretty much played video games the whole time. Ron and I sat and watched Ben Hur most of the day while the wife's cooked dinner. We had the dinner disaster too :( We had a 24 pound turkey :chicken: that didn't get cooked all the way and the Athon's ham was burnt and cold by time they got to the house. :| At least we could nuke the ham and eat it :eat1: It was still good and we had plenty to eat. :eat2:
We didn't have a lot of presents this year. The boys got money :money1: and spent that on video games :drive1: and I promised to finish my wifes sewing room this weekend for her present. :)
I did get her a Coon for Christmas and she loves it. :D Now the cat is not happy about it at all :22yikes: She will come right up to them at the house but she has never had to deal with one in the house. :o4: I think we may have ruined her forever
All in all we had a great time. Hope you all did too.
Thanks again to all of you that took the time to send cards and gifts :D that was really nice of you and it means a lot to me and my familly. We love you guys

Yep[ Lamont, It seems like The commercial side of Christmas has also lost a lot of glamour in our house. The kids all want to be somewhere else and usually if we need something during the year we get it when we need it.
But we did enjoy seeing our daughter Elizabeth and her Husband that we have not had the pleasure of since they were married in June. Probably had the most fun with them.
My daughter Sarah was out Christmas shopping just at 2am Christmas day after she got off work at about 11:30 pm Christmas Eve, and hit a cub with her car and blew both tires on the passenger side. So we get a call at 2am that she is down on highway 9 near Atlanta but she can not see where she is.... So I hop in the truck and drive 21 miles down Highway 9 and find her car in a taxi lot with both tires flat. There is no one open at that time so I told her to lock it up and we would get it today.
Well it is today and I am ready to get the car but my son and daughter have not reappeared since they left for a Christmas Party yesterday.....
Guess they will both be walking. AS I have to go to work later today
Thanks to all for all the Christmas cards and such.

Smiley, don't you just love kids.........
We got too many little ones to try and have a trimmed down Christmas. My kids still get pe'oed at me cause when I need something I just go get it. They say wait till Xmas and put it on your list. I tell em by then I'll not need it as the project will be done........
In fact the out(in)-law side of the family is coming over today for Christmas, family is too big to get them all together at one setting, plus some of them think they take priority over this side of the family. Ho hum, know where the priorities lie this way...... I'm about Christmas(ed) out.......
Now I know what my parents and my in-laws meant when they were alive. Ya'll will be the senior adults before long and then it is your responsibility to keep it together.
I'm now the oldest one on my side of the immediate family and my wifes sister is the oldest one on her side............
Glad everyone had a great Christmas.
It will be good to get back to a regular schedule.
They've been pushing Christmas since way before Thanksgiving.
Waaayyy to commercial for me. I'm afraid some of the kids today don't really know what the real meaning of Christmas is. Some schools don't have Christmas parties or plays, it's Holiday parties now. Gotta make sure no one is offended.
Oh well, enough of that, I'll have another cup of coffee.
You guys have a great day.
Yea, it's kind of funny. I used to get mad at my dad because he was such a scrooge at Christmas. I find myself getting more and more that way. All the advertisements and trying to figure out what to get everyone. And it's all crap anyway. ex. I bought my wife $150.00 worth of clothes. She's taking everything back except a pair of jeans.
I like getting together with my brother and being with his kids. but beyond that we could lose the whole thing and it wouldn't bother me.
Well one good thing about it. They shut the University down for basically 2 weeks so now I can come in and get the upgrades done to the servers, rebuild the network, Update workstations....wait did I say that was a good thing?

I had a very good Christmas. I went to my daughter's house on Christmas Eve, along with all of the family. Though it was the second Christmas Eve without my wife, it seemed like it was harder for me this year than last. It did help that I went to candlelight service with my family and a lady friend (she lost two husbands. one in the Korean War) and she knows what it's like during the Christmas holiday.
Christmas Day once again went to my daughter's house while Chris went to visit his wife's side of the family. Like RJ, it's now up to me to hold the familt together and it's a job that I like.
Today or tomorrow I'll be off to my favorite MC shop to spend my gift certificates, looking forward to it.
I wish all of you on the BBR a great New Year and am looking forward to meeting everyone at Paducah.

Glad to hear yall had a good one
Solo, my heart and prayers are with ya bud.
Jim & I didn't buy each other anything, but we spent the day together, cooking and working on our bikes. It was a pretty good day for me, but J Dubya forgot to lube the splines (the Moly was sitting right there in front of him too) on his rear wheel before he put it back on..... looks like he'll be taking it back off tomorrow, hehehe.
