My daughter, Michelle Holmes, is having surgery on Wednesday to remove part of her intestine due to Chrone's Disease. She is a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard and works on the Army base at Camp Robinson near North Little Rock. I'm sure she will come out OK but she is worried about the possiblity of being discharged if the surgery is too extensive. Good part is she will be off until at least January 1.

We will say a prayer for her.
We will be in Arkansas late Tuesday night for a funeral on Wednesday, I might be in Little Rock on Thursday thought about trying to hook up with you and do lunch maybe.
Keep us informed on how she is doing.

I took her to the hospital today to get pre-registered for the surgery. They were having a blood drive so I gave while I waited on her. Got a nice new shirt I can use to wipe the Valk with!
Also, helped her get her home straightened before she goes in tomorrow. I will go by there again before she gets home and straighten the house. Nobody likes to come home from the hospital to a dirty house. She has 2 kids and her husband will have enough to do just getting them dressed, fed, and to school.
She goes in at 7am Wednesday and hopefully will be home by the weekend.

Ohio sends prayers for those close to us who may have a need.
If I can be of encouragement, If I can lift your needs to God please by all means let me know. I powerfully believe in the power of prayer and healing will be honored to lift your needs before our God. And prayer does change things! And God always answers!

She is out of surgery but still sleeping when I left her with her husband. Doc removed 5 inches small and 1 inch large intestine. No big incision so looking good. Hope to get a better feeling tomorrow morning when I visit.
THANX!

Jack, your latest response looks like pretty good news (didn't have to take more of the intestine). Thoughts and prayers are with you and Anita, and especially for Michelle.

She's doing well and should go home tonight! Her church is bringing food over every third day for the following week which should take a big load off her. Meanwhile, I'll check in and make sure her house is straight and dishes and clothes are washed. She is still, of course, having sharp pains from the three "stab" wounds of the surgery. Hope the doc gives her something good so she can rest.
