The rock was first painted 5 years ago. Prior to that it was always with Graffiti and UGLY.

Bubba hit upon the idea to paint it and change the scenes every other year. Since then NO Graffiti has been applied.

He also painted a 3 story outside building wall in the town of Casey, 3/4 mile North, 3 miles West on I-80 to next exit and North a mile into town.

This wall has a bunch of paintings, from WWI to present, but doesn't include Iraq as of this writing.

Then go next door to the restaurant, go inside and Bubba has painted a mural on the wall in there. He is a heck of an artist.

It is a very interesting place. I have lead several rides to the area for photo opportunities, VRCC, American Legion Riders (ALR) and one spur of the moment HOG ride. On the HOG ride, I happened to be the only one who knew where it was and how to get there.

Come to town, Des Moines, IA, let me know and I'll treat ya'll to a trip to the paintings. Then we can stop in Winterset on the way home for lunch.

Happy Holidays, this is the last shopping day before Christmas, so GET WITH IT............. LOL............ :xmas: :excited:
