Looks like we are starting to nail down some details and it all looks good. Patriot has put together a host hotel with a group discount rate. Just about 1/2 off of what they normally get. :D We hope to have more details up for you soon so you can start making plans.

Come join us for some of the best riding and fellowship in the country! We did this last year in Asheville and had a great time and a great turnout. This year will be just as good if not better. :D If you've never been to Maggie Valley you will find that it is a great little town that is very biker friendly and has roads leading to some of the most scenic riding in the country. :D

This is a FREE event and really is just a bunch of folks getting together for a good time. It's a great time to make new friends and to rekindle old relationships :) All bikes are welcome. :D

Find a hotel with ground floors and individual rooms that exit out to the bikes... that works the best..... if it is possible.

So after we find a hotel you then make your request ;)
We have to look into something we just found out (maybe) about this hotel. We may make a change if they are not up to snuff. I'll keep your request in mind. :D

Sorry Lamont.... I just know folks like you like to be able to sit in there room and admire all the burnouts :)
and others so they can just stumble over the threshold to their room instead of trying to find an elevator at night.

The hotel we are looking at is the only one large enough in that area to hold all of us. Most of the hotels are less than 50 rooms and I'm thinking we will need well over 100 rooms. We are going to make a road trip and check it out to make sure this is where we want to stay and to see if there might be a better place.

LaMont, while on your scouting expedition, kindly check this place out. It looks cool and biker friendly. May be too small but it has one heck of a view. :biker:

At our Smokey Mountains lodging, 1000' feet above the rest of Maggie Valley, and 2000' above Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, the air is always cool and fresh, and the scenery always guaranteed to be outstanding.

Fuzzy, last year when we all met up in Asheville, several wives were there too. Yes, your wife should come along. She'll have a great time. By the way, when are you thinking about going? I am planning to make the trip, will probably leave on Thursday, ride one long day to the north side of Chattanooga, then on to Maggie Valley on Friday. I'm in Baton Rouge.

No imposition. We have room for quite a few folks. Then we can all ride to Maggie Valley together. Maybe we can all go to the Wildwater Steak house Thurs. evening?

Jack,
Don't look good for me to go anyway, not enough seniority for the vacation pick. Might look at working some kind of swap when it gets closer to the date. If we can make some arrangements, I will let you know.

Fuzzy - just let me know. I plan to leave early Thursday morning (around 0600) and ride to TNT's. It is about 600 miles there. Long day, but worth it to be able to eat steak that night, and then ride some good twisties going to Maggie Valley.

Just made my reservations for the trip south. Whoever I talked to didn't know how to get me into the "group rate" on the computer, I'll have to call again next week during the day when the "regulars" are there she said. 3 rooms, will bring some of my SCRC group along. Maybe even more will jump in later.

Really hoping the dates work out. Normally Sue and I go to Washington DC for Rolling Thunder with 3 other couples. Last year we left them in Clarksburg W. Vir. and headed to Asheville for the first Big Bike Riders meet. Had such a good time that we told the othe couples that we should plan a week in the Ashville area. That started the ball rolling and now we are thinking of renting a house down there for a week. We were looking at Maggie Valley before this ride came up. Might have a place in Asheville. Any way I plan on visiting some you any time we go. Snow! If it ain't a blizzard, put some weight in the back of that pick- up and go. Rescueroy
:snow1: SNOW!, :snow1: you let a Little :snow1: SNOW :snow1: stop you from going, OH NO you guys must be getting old.... :o4: ......?????????? no old ain't it, RJ would try anything. :biker: Hmmmmm so what is the word ?????????????? :chicken:

LAmont, RayO, and I took the trip to Maggie Valley today and everythings a go! :clap2: Hotel looks a little shaggy on the outside, but, the rooms look pretty good! A lot better than what you get for 100.00 at Daytona. Looks like the BBR name is in their computer now and we are locked in for rooms. She locked us in for 59.99 a night, but looks like if you want to put 4 into a room, the price will be 69.99 a night. The non-smoking are the first two floors and the rest are mixed. :?
Great parking with a parking lot that runs around hotel. No matter which room you get, you can still park your bike where you can see it. They have a gameroom with video games, foosball, and pooltable. Pet friendly, so TJ can bring the boys. :D
The Wheels through time museum is 2 miles up the road on the same side as hotel. I still need to know how many want to visit the museum and what day they want to go, so I can set up a time for us. Call and get your rooms and don't forget to tell them the BBR group rate. See ya there!!!

One more thing they forgot to add, there is plenty of good eating around there too!! We ate today at one of them, the town has a lot of tourist type stuff and restaurants around, should make for a great weekend with little traffic other than us! Also, if anyone prefers a campgound over the motel, there are a few of those really close by. Looking forward to seeing alot of you there.

Anybody from the North Country going? I live in RI. It'll probably be a 9 or 10 + hour ride down there. I don't mind riding alone, but company would make it better. If anyone from up here is planning on going, let me know. Thanks, Jim
Jim, I am planning on heading down. I am on the west side of West Virginia, just north of Parkersburg WV, it is about 6+ hours from here. You are more than welcome to swing by here, spend the night and we can head out the next day, or I can meet you somewhere along the route. Anyone else who needs a place to stay on their way down is more than welcome at Polecat Hollar. Let me know what your schedule plan is. You can let me know on here or my email is redbeardhawk@yahoo.com
