Anita and I are in the process of moving on with whatever is ahead. We are withdrawing our retirement plans to have money to live on and pay bills. Going by the Unemployment Office to turn in some paperwork today. Never been on the dole before. We have applications in but nobody wants to employ us until we can be available "as needed". Looking at buying a small trailer to live in temporarily. My dad has a place for it to be set up. Life goes on.
Hang in there Jack, we are all thinking about and praying for ya'll.

Hi Jack
A quick question, Have you checked your Homeowners Policy about what it provides for Living Expenses while your home is repaired ?
After hurricane Andrew our Homeowners Policy paid to have a Mobile Home placed on our property next to our House. Once we got electricity back they paid to wire it and hook up to the septic tank.
Several of my neighbors got either a Trailer, fifth wheel or even a motor home to live in while they rebuilt. After they rebuilt most gave the trailers back to the insurance company but a couple got very good deals and purchased them.
As always my Prayers are with you and yours.
Mark
Jack, I can't imagine what you are going through.
I will surely keep you and others in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Jack and Anita, best of luck to both of you. I know it is an extremely difficult decision to make. Know this - if you ever need anything from South La. again, please let me know. I'll miss riding with you and Red to Hotglue's BBQ....but, hey...maybe we'll see each other again at some function in the future.
Good luck and best wishes my friends.............

I have been a butcher since I was a kid. I doubt any of you guys can help me find a job but I appreciate the offers. I actually get a lot more support from this group than I do my own family.
Bought a 32' trailer to set up next to Dad's place. Sister aint happy but, oh well. Hoping maybe to invite you all to Arkansas for a BBQ and ride. Lotsa nice roads here.

Hey Jack,
I have called Lamont to find out while on the road what is happening with you and laborman, but heard that not much happened.
I don't know your delima. but if you need a place to bed down, find a new home... my door is open for your family... might be cramped but we'll make it work...
Lots of Jobs in Atlanta,

Jack, I'm glad that you and yours got out OK but the disruption in your lives must be something else. I'm praying for you and your wife.
If I can help you in any way here in northeast Indiana, let me know.. New Haven is right next to the bigger city of Ft. Wayne and the economy is going strong.
