Subject: rust

I am having a problem with rust on my pipes where the welded bracket is
located in the rear. It is weld splatter that was not cleaned before
chroming. problem is, it is coming through the chrome. no mater how much i
polish it keeps coming back..It needs to be buffed down and re-chromed, Can
you-all help pleaseeeeeee.......

We do not cover any rust under warranty. In the area around the bracket that is welded to the pipes we cannot get the polishing wheels down in that area.
You have to dry that area with an air hose to keep water from sitting there
or you will get rust in that area. You might try cleaning the rust out with
a wire brush and then use a little silver rust type paint to prevent this
from happening again. WD-40 displaces the water and spraying some around the bracket will help prevent the rust from forming. Thanks for asking Cobraride safe.

I wonder why they don’t state that if you buy there chrome pipes and they rust( and they will ) That "

from happening again".things before you buy there cheap pipes $400.00. It would be nice if they sent a small can of gray paint with all there pipes......

Cobra's chrome sucks on anything they sell.

My old 6X6's rusted.

My light bar pitted, they replaced it twice, and it is pitted again.

My driver boards pitted, they replaced them, pitted again.

Passenger floorboards pittred, they would only replace one and it has pitted again and the one they no replace has pitted worse.

There was something I bought for the rear, license plate holder I think it was, it pitted and it went in the junk pile... I'm thinking of having all of these pieces powder coated in Black or Silver.......

I'm not having much luck with my cobra aftermarket parts either... chroming is barely marginal at best...
