I am like an RCH away from buying a RUNE but want to know if anyone else has had these problems and if the dealer has resolved them

1. I have found two unfilled weld marks on the right side of the rear fender on the bikes I have seen. They look like small dents in the fender and are just behind the seat. It looks like a manufactuing error... Has anyone else seen these? Did the dealer work to fix them?

2. The exhast pipe chrome on the one I saw is already discoloring at the end and the heat producted is discoloring the cover that hides the lug nuts for the rear tire.. Same question... has anyone had the dealer correct these issues.? Has anyone else seen them?

Thanks for the responce.. I am just about to throw the money on the table... If anyone else knows of any other issues to address in advance of purchase please let me know.

Matter of fact you did. Paris Hilton came round and treated all the guys to...well never mind  Of course that was after Ellen Degeneres proved to all the guys that she's not gay...hmmm what else was there?Oh yeah there are three chicks in thongs in our lobby wanting to know what a Pibit is  Oh yeah Honda's really going to respond to blemishes on the Rune  I remember when my 6 month old headers started to rust to crap they told me that the warranty on that was 30 days! Overall I think Honda makes great products but has no ears when it comes to consumer complaints...vc

Yes, someone on the Rune board had this problem and the dealer ordered a new rear fender.

Yes. They all do this, but it is not a 'discoloration of the chrome'. It is from the soot from the exhaust blowing DIRECTLY onto the chrome. It happens to all of us. It gets all over the very end of the exhaust, the rear end cover and the middle of the left side of the rear wheel. It only takes about a minute to get it off, and you would normally be polishing those areas anyways.

A little chrome polish takes it all off without a problem. Some people are having luck with running 87 octane instead of the recommended 91.
