Chris asked me to put a post on the board for him.
"Hi all. I'm coming along. I'm learning to walk again. My head is in the right place and my attitude is good and very positive. Laura by my side is amazing and inspirational and is something that I cherish. She will give me the strength to look this thing straight in the eye and beat it down. I've learned the fragility of life and what is really important and not to take things for granted.
Thank you all so very much for the cards, prayers and well-wishes. Thank you all for caring for both of us."
Chris has made great strides since his accident. Today, while laying in bed, he pulled his feet up to his rear end, with his knees straight up. He held them there for about 10 minutes, to get a stretch. Two days ago, he couldn't do that. He didn't even realize that what he was doing is something he always had done just by natural reaction to stretch his back.
I have complete faith that Chris will be fine and will not settle for anything less than 100%. Thank you all so much for being behind Chris and pushing him to reach as far as he can. He'll let me know when he's ready for visitors and he's incredibly grateful for all the cards he's received.
Chris also asked me to tell everyone that he loves them.
