Well I sold the Valkyrie. Dropped it off to it's new home last weekend.Well now I need to fill the open spot. I'm thinking about two different bikes. One is the Yamaha FJR1300 and the other is the Triumph Trophy 1200.I would appreciate any comments on these two bikes. Good or bad.

TIA
Joe

Well you already know my "vote" between them two bikes ... FJR is faster and looks better (IMO)

Another point for the Yammy - used ones for sale don't last long (good market, people want them) ... Martin practically gave his Trophy away and it still took awhile to sell :?

Just curious, but why not the ST1300? Seriously though, Yamaha 1300 looks like a great bike.

Jack: Why not the ST1300? I was on an ST1300 message board last week & some of those owners are not very happy with the heat that pours out of the fairing into the riders lap. One person likened it to riding a nuclear furnace. I don't know, I'm just reporting what I read.

I like the looks of the FJR and Trophy over the ST. The Yamaha has more power and might be a little better bike. My main hold up on it is how Yamaha markets the bike. If you can only order them at one time a year what happens when I need a part. They are not stocking the bike here in the states so I would have to believe the parts are not here as well. Atleast I can go to my local Triumph dealer and sit on the Trophy. Heck they will even let me test ride the bike. The Yamaha dealer said once the bike is ordered it's mine weather I like it or not when it shows up.

Maybe Dragbars will chime in on this one.
Best I remember he bought a trophy.
I met a guy in Ga. "Coot" was his handle. He had the ST1300 and loved it. I haven't talked to anyone who has a FJR yet.
Lots' of great rides out there, get the one that lights your fire.
