Now that you mention it, I do have a spare Valk manual. It's for a '97 but I'm sure it'll cover most anything you need to know. If you want it, send me an email and I'll get it out to you.
EMail sent.. Thanks!

No pictures yet, But I cleaned out the garage last weekend so that I had some room to tear her down. Interstate Tank, Polish forks and wheels, Stainless doodads, Braided Lines, Trick lighting, Progressives (front &Rear) Tires, and some new paint. (gotta figure out what I want for that tho') been looking around for some Ideas, I don't want to do the standard flame thing, I still want to keep the back mostly black. I'll post some pictures after this weekend.
Mosa, What are your plans? I really like the dragon on yers, your not coverin that up are ya?

Mosa,
You not overhauling the motor are you? I guess next year would be a good time to do some of that to my bike. Like replace the u-joints in the drive assembly the pivot bearings, timing belt up front and a few other things. But the bike is running sooooo good...

Hey TJ:
No, I had my fit with 98 Valkyrie heads and the tissue thin head gaskets.
Water leaks with the tissue thin.
Put the fat ones on and it holds water. Now figure that out.
Ended up having the 98 heads shaved the thickness of the thick gasket and put it together using the thick ones. So far it is running like a scalded dog in the higher elevations. Down around sea level to 1,200' like here it just runs normal.
Snappy up to 5,500 RPM and then kind of tappers off here at home. Out in Arizona, Prescott to be exact, it ran very hard up to 6,500 - 6,800 range, then the rev limiter took over.

Who are you getting to polish the forks & wheels? I hadn't thought about that, but while I've got it torn apart........
I also need to find a place to have some small items chromed. Anyone have a recommendation?
I am going to rebuild the motor, top to bottom, ... pistons, head work, exhaust, etc..
then, gonna powder coat the Frame, wheels and forks most likely ( I HATE cleaning Chrome on those places.... such a PITA and they get re-dirty so fast..)
then gots some chrome re-work to do: both OEM and addon parts are showing their age from being outside for so long...
And Paint... not decided yet... I LIKE that Dragon... but still not sure yet...
Bottom line, this bike is a TOURER and I intend to ride it like one.. DISTANCES... so, any upgrades/mods/cleanups will be toward that end: distance, comfort, and ease of maint.
I am open to suggestions as to mods for Tourers that are best for distance/comfort riding...

VIcki, I found this place for a friend who's rebuilding a Norton. He showed me some of the pieces he got back yesterday and they look BEAUTIFUL! I'm going to send off my sissybar brackets I made for my supervalk next week. He also said that they were real nice to deal with. http://www.nu-chrome.com/index.html Hope this helps.
Since it's on the way to his wife's
We could get everything together and give it to him. Save some bucks on shipping. Maybe even a bulk discount!
