Weather was warm enough in southern Indiana Friday to get the Valk out for a spin. Stopped at a Dairy Queen (of course) and was preparing to back out and leave when some pick-up truck blocks me in. The driver gets out and walks over to me. Turns out he just bought a 2003 Valk with 5,000 miles, trailered it home, and now can't get the thing to start. He wondered if I had any advice for him. After the usual checking to make sure he was in neutral, etc., it suddenly hit me. I appointed to the choke and asked him if he uses it. He said he has had it in every position imaginable. I showed him how if you bring it down it will stop at a certain point. I then told him he needed to put on more pressure and bring it all the way down. His eyes lit up as if he had seen Shangri-La while voicing a grunt of Enlightenment. He patted me on the back and went on his way. Another Valk rider saved.
Happy New Year to all.
