:?: I have used Avons for the last three changes on my Valkyrie but I want to try something else. Looking for opinions on other tires/brands...

Thanks,

I have metzlers on my valk tourer and I have no compliants. They wear pretty well as long as you keep them inflated properly and the handling is fine. Seems like the avons would probably be the choice of the majority of valk riders....based on what I have seen posted over the last couple of years.

Not too much of a choice in tires.

Bridgestones, seem to wear fairly well, Keep em inflated to around 45+ both ends or you get cupping and flat spots. I run 45 front and 50 rear..........

Metzler, I run this for a front tire all the time, no matter what I have on the rear. See Bridgestone for air pressure.

Avon's, you been there, also see Bridgestone for air pressure.

Dark side: Car tire for the rear. Lots of choices here, only drawback is you still have to pull the rear wheel and grease the splines about every 12,000 miles or buy a new rearend for failure to do so and grease em...

I'm a new Valkyrie owner and haven't tryed different types but I just put on Dunlop Elites. They seems to be working well.
