The HRCA had Cobra customize a new 1800 wing for Emilio Scotto after he retired his old Goldwing with only 485,000 miles and a little more than 2 times around the world. This is close to what I would like to see for a new Valkyrie Interstate You think someone will come out with this for the rest of us?

It has one serious problem - It's not a V-Twin Clone :o
Honda can't see the forest for the trees

Is that TJ after the "Blower" install :D
We saw this at the Hoot when we were down this year. Scott and I both said as soon as we saw it, "there's a wing that I could ride"
It really looks like a hot rod. I've been looking to see what it would take to remove the trunk on a wing. Make that Super Tourer look on a wing, I think that would be cool. :D

If that Sport Princess were on the market when I traded in my Wing for the Valk two years ago I would have gone for it too.
Now I don't understand why Honda is so pig headed about not continuing with the Valkyrie. They copy everything else out there to clone the V-Twin but they don't have the gonads to continue with the best cruiser built.
Also if Harley can make a removable trunk one would think that Honda engineers could figure it out too. It ain't rocket science.

Honda did make a very nice removable trunk for the ST100. I had one.
It could be removed very easily and left a nice uncluttered rack.

Met a guy who rides an Valk Interstate last night who CLAIMS he put a $500 deposit on one of these to be picked up next year from a local dealer (Anderson's Powersports in Bloomfield Hills, MI).

OK, OK, OK! I know I should have called the dealer before posting this to confirm or deny what the told me last night.......BUT!.........anyway, I called the dealer and the salesman hasn't even heard of the Princess II or if they intend to sell them. He will check further and let me know one way or the other.......

OK, How about we all call our local dealers and ask them about this bike and say that we would buy it if Honda comes out with it. Maybe we can all generate some action from Honda. I will also send a Email to HRCA about getting info about getting one. You never know.

Per Scottys post above, on the 1100 Gold Wings (last = 1983), the trunk removed with your ignition key - no tools reqd. I think the idea was that when you checked into a motel, you simply took the trunk in with you like a suitcase. Even had a carry handle. And the bike looked right with it off as well. I agree that this would be a great feature to bring back.

The bike looks great but it's not that special. This could be built by YOU if just took the time to take some of the stock parts off and black out the rest.

I was thinking the exact same thing ... so either I am NOT crazy OR we both are crazy! I put over 30K on that Wing of mine in a year but I got rid of it for a few reasons ... I personally would still be leary owning one now - blacked out, stripped or any other way.

I think Honda would be more likely to build this.

They aren't worried about selling trees and they are selling plenty of Goldwings. 8)
