Hope everyone had a great weekend. I wasnt planning on riding much on Sunday because of the forecast. Called for rain Sun and Mon. At about 11am, while watching TV I saw the sun really shining thru the curtains. I looked outside and it was beautiful. So, I called my always ready to ride friend up in Posen Mi, about 50 miles E of the Mackinac Bridge. Anyways, I rode up to see her, about 250 miles and was getting between 35 and 37 MPG. Hung out with her for about an hour and headed out. The plan was to go N and pick up US23 and follow that on the lake shore along the Eastern side of the state. Well, it started to get cold so I headed inland hoping to warm up and it did. I stopped in Hale Mi to get gas adn I spied a Red and White Valk trike. I know of only one and I stopped and talked to a couple of folks that atteded one of the first MSF classes that I taught. Shot the breeze with them for a few minutes and headed out. I eventually made it to I75 and thats where the wind got NASTY. If I was to guess I would say 20-30MPH with gust to 40MPG. Just a guess. I felt like I was going around a very long left curve but the road was straight. It only sprinkled for a few minutes and when I got back to my apartment in Chesterfield it was about 10PM. 512 miles and I went over the 1000 mile point on my new(used) Tourer.
